Advantages of Istar Dental Lab

Porcelain Build Up

Dental Manufacturer in Oregon

In 2012, Istar, a small dental laboratory with just a dozen people, was founded and headquartered in Los Angeles, USA.

As the number of dental clients increased, Istar, in order to expand its scale, reduce production costs, and attract more dental clients, acquired a denture manufacturing factory in Shenzhen, China.

Therefore, Istar can assure that every case from dentists is produced in-house, with no outsourcing!

Competitive Pricing

With the reduction in production costs at Istar Dental Laboratory, we proactively proposed price reductions to our previous clients.

Of course, we acknowledge that this is also a marketing strategy to deepen our relationships with clients.

Due to the production facility in China, our prices are more competitive compared to local dental laboratories in the Oregon.

High-Quality Dental Lab

After the acquisition of the dental laboratory in China, Istar recruited experienced dental technicians in various fields at above-market prices. Whether it’s crowns, bridges, dentures, or implants, we excel in production.

To ensure the quality of teeth, Istar Dental Laboratory uses only premium materials. After careful processing by technicians, the exquisitely crafted dentures are sure to be appreciated by your patients.

Modern Digital Dental Laboratory

Istar keeps pace with the times and embraces the fruits of technological advancement. With the emergence of CAD/CAM gradually replacing traditional dental processes, Istar has also transformed into a digital dental laboratory.

In addition to traditional impressions and casts, Istar can also accept intraoral scan data. The advantage of intraoral scan data lies in its ability to provide a more precise understanding of the patient’s oral condition. For our dental laboratory, this means we can create dentures that are even more tailored to the patient’s needs.

Quality Crown & Bridge (PFM)

Istar China Dental Laboratory Manufacturer is strict in every step in order to ensure the quality of dentures. For example, to make PFM, after receiving the cases from the customers, firstly, we will show the real condition of the patient’s mouth in the form of a model according to the impressions or data sent by the customers, which is called pour model.

Next, according to the patient’s occlusion, we will design the wax lines and bridges, and then we will use specialized materials to fill the molds and create the coping. There are three steps in this process, which are Build Wax-up, Invest and Casting.

The initial production of the metal crown is sent to gold turning, where the excess oxidized layer of the metal crown is rubbed off, and then sent to the next department for porcelain build up, where a layer of porcelain is added to the metal crown. The next three steps are Contouring, Glazing and Polishing to gradually perfect the porcelain tooth so that it meets the patient’s requirements and situation. Lastly, this is the quality control step, where we take a close look at the finished crown and if it is found to be unsatisfactory, it will be returned immediately for an expedited redo.

Implant Dental

As you know, being able to skillfully place dental implants on patients is a watershed moment for a dentist. Likewise, creating high-quality dental implants is a challenge for a dental lab.

An implant system consists of three parts: Post (also known as the screw, body, or fixture), Abutment and Crown (also known as the prosthetic or the restoration). It takes not only advanced equipment but also an experienced dental implant technician to fabricate these three parts perfectly. They have to replicate the patient’s situation based on the information you provide such as transfer abutment, impressions, and so on.

Since every patient is different, the technicians also need to improvise and design different dental implant systems for different situations, which is what makes the fabrication of dental implants so difficult. Therefore, an experienced dental implant technician is important for every implant dental laboratory. Thankfully, we have 10 of these technicians and all of them are over 10 years of experience.

Removable Dental

Currently, removable dentures are divided into two main categories: Acrylic Denture and Metal Frame Denture. As a matter of fact, Metal frame denture can also be called an acrylic denture, because it only adds Co-Cr Frame, VTM2000 Frame or Pure Titanium Frame to the acrylic denture to retain it in place.

So apart from the extra metal, the process of generating them is more or less the same, let’s take the acrylic denture as an example. First, it is necessary to determine what is going on in the patient’s mouth using something such as the bite block, model, or special tray that you sent in. After confirming the bite, the model is started with a layer of wax and then the teeth are setted up on top of the wax.

Then the wax needs to be melted and filled with acrylic through a number of operations, curing the denture under pressure until the correct hardness is achieved, a step called Finish. Finally the finished acrylic denture is polished and the articulation is checked and adjusted if necessary.

Making a removable denture is not difficult, what is needed is care and time so that the denture can be made to fit the patient properly. Istar Dental Laboratory is confident that the patient will be satisfied!
