I am writing to formally report a serious issue regarding dishonest business behavior by a client who previously cooperated with our lab.
We began working with this client at the end of November 2023. Everything proceeded normally until mid-April 2024, when the client suddenly stopped sending us cases for several days. When I reached out to understand the reason, she explained that it was due to the Jewish holidays and that she hadn’t yet received packages from her patients. She specifically requested that we continue shipping her cases as scheduled to ensure timely delivery to her customers.
However, just a week later, when I followed up again regarding her case volume, she abruptly stated that she no longer wanted to cooperate with us, claiming that our quality was not up to standard. While I was surprised by the sudden change, I did not push for continued cooperation, especially considering that the profit margin for handling her lab’s cases was already very low.
That said, I respectfully asked her to settle the outstanding balance of $2,035.68 USD for work that had already been completed and delivered. Unfortunately, she refused to pay. This decision was shocking and deeply disappointing. If she refuses to pay, it means that we essentially worked for free for four months—a situation no honest business should ever be subjected to.
I even offered to remake any cases she was dissatisfied with at no additional charge or remove them from the invoice altogether. However, refusing to pay the full balance without any specific feedback or evidence is not only unreasonable—it is dishonest. The foundation of doing business in the United States is trust and integrity. This kind of conduct is unacceptable and must be brought to light.
As a responsible business, we always honor our commitments and expect the same from those we work with. I believe it is necessary to make others aware of this client’s untrustworthy behavior to avoid similar losses in the future.
