Unlike traditional metal clasps, Istar uses innovative designs to hide the metal components, improving the overall appearance. Traditional clasps are often positioned on the lip or cheek side, which can affect aesthetics. Istar, however, places the clasps in less visible areas, such as the distobuccal undercut of the abutment tooth, the proximal undercut, the lingual undercut, and the low buccal or labial undercut areas. The clasps are also designed to be shorter and more delicate, further enhancing their aesthetic appeal.
