Dentures are usually designed with flexible clasps that, while small, play a crucial role. The clasps securely hold the removable dentures in place, preventing them from shifting or falling out, and they help distribute chewing forces evenly to reduce pressure on the supporting teeth. ISTAR can create custom-fitted Dentures With Clasps tailored to your patients’ needs. You can also provide special requests to ISTAR for even better results.

Materials for Istar Clasps
The materials for clasps in removable dentures are generally divided into metal and non-metal.
Partial Dentures With Metal Clasps:Typically made from high-performance cobalt-chromium alloy (Co-Cr), which offers excellent support and flexibility, providing reliable stability for dentures.
Partial Dentures WithNon-MetalClasps: Usually made of acrylic material, which is semi-transparent and closely matches the color of natural gum tissue. It has high elasticity and is less visible, making it a good choice for patients who prioritize aesthetics.
Istar is a Precious Partial Denture Lab based in China, established in 2012. We have provided denture services to 34 countries worldwide and have built a strong international reputation. As one of the top 5 dental labs in China, choosing us means choosing quality and reliability!
Istar Aesthetic Clasp Design
Istar specializes in creating aesthetic clasp designs that combine beauty and function. Unlike traditional metal clasps, Istar uses innovative designs to hide the metal components, improving the overall appearance. Traditional clasps are often positioned on the lip or cheek side, which can affect aesthetics. Istar, however, places the clasps in less visible areas, such as the distobuccal undercut of the abutment tooth, the proximal undercut, the lingual undercut, and the low buccal or labial undercut areas. The clasps are also designed to be shorter and more delicate, further enhancing their aesthetic appeal.
This denture uses acrylic clasps that match the color of the gums instead of metal clasps, offering better concealment. It is commonly used for front teeth that require a more natural look or when the supporting teeth have no retention shape. The friction between the invisible clasps and the supporting teeth improves stability. These “invisible” clasps are becoming increasingly popular with dentists and patients alike.
Simple wire clasps can be made by hand-bending, but for more complex frameworks and clasp designs, Istar uses advanced 3D metal printing. This approach boosts efficiency while ensuring high precision. The metal framework produced through 3D printing has a smooth surface without burrs or steps. Istar further refines the framework with polishing, sandblasting, and buffing. Finally, the denture is completed with tooth placement and acrylic filling.
